New Mexico: Urge Bernalillo County Commissioners to Oppose Anti-Gun Resolutions

Gun Safety and Background Check Proclamation by Chairman Steven Michael Quezeda (District 2) and Vice-Chairman Lonnie Talbert (District 4).  Although a copy was not available at the time this alert went out, Bloomberg's anti-gun groups, Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, have been involved in the drafting of it - so we expect it will call for support of so called “universal” background check legislation just like the bills we've seen in previous legislative sessions at the Roundhouse

Resolution in Support of Gun Violence Reduction Measures by Commissioner Maggie Hart-Stebbins calls for the New Mexico congressional delegation (and presumably the State Legislature) to support “universal” background checks on all private sales and transfers, a ban on bump stock devices and standard capacity magazines and “assault weapons” (all terms which are not defined), and a mandatory waiting period for all firearms purchases.

Take Action!
