This past Wednesday, the Nebraska Legislature Judiciary Committee scheduled a day full of hearings that will affect your Second Amendment rights.  You’re invited to join a virtual webinar where your NRA-ILA Grassroots Field Coordinator will provide details the outcome of this hearings and what action should be taken now to increase your voice to advocate for laws that protects your Second Amendment rights.

Here is some of the Pro-Gun Legislation we will provide updates on:

  • LB-300Defense of self or others within your home, vehicle, or place of work

  • LB-404Change permit and renewal time periods under the Concealed Handgun Permit Act

  • LB-417: Authorize possession of a firearm on school grounds by a full-time, off-duty law enforcement officer

Your NRA-ILA team will be hosting a virtual Legislative Town Hall with special guest State of Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, House Majority Whip Blake Carpenter, and State Representative Stephen Owens on Wednesday, March 10th at 2:30pm. During this town hall, NRA-ILA State Director Travis Couture-Lovelady and your elected officials will provide detailed information on House Bill 2058, the Second Amendment Protection Act and other legislative bills involving your Second Amendment rights. As your Grassroots Field Coordinator, I will provide a brief update on grassroots activities in Kansas and cover the ways that you can help make an impact. Come hear from NRA-ILA staff, including NRA TN Legislative State Director Matt Herriman, along with your local state elected officials about what is going on in Nashville as it relates to your Second Amendment rights.  On the evening of Thursday, March 11th your NRA-ILA will hold a Legislative Workshop to update you on the legislative priorities making their way through the state legislature.  The legislative workshop will be held at The Outpost Armory & Range at their brand new location.  To make sure you secure your spot at this highly anticipated workshop, just sign up below!  Space is limited, so make sure to sign up today!  Due to the current COVID situation, hand sanitizers and a waiver will be handed out upon arrival at the location.  We hope to see you at The Outpost Armory & Range on March 11th!

Join your NRA Wisconsin team for an important grassroots meeting on Thursday, March 18th, at The Machine Shed in Pewaukee as we continue to work in support of the Second Amendment in 2021! Come out to hear more from NRA-ILA staff on state & federal updates as well as all the many grassroots resources available to help you protect & promote the Second Amendment in Wisconsin. Your NRA-ILA Frontlines Activist Team will be attending the Topeka Gun Show on March 20th and 21st. If you are a gun collector or are a hunting enthusiast, the gun show at the Stormont Vail Events Center is a great place to spend some time.  This will also give you the opportunity to meet your Frontline Activist Leaders (FALs) for Kansas. This would provide you with a great opportunity to learn more about NRA-ILA, talk with fellow patriots fighting for the Second Amendment in Kansas, and find out more about protecting the Second Amendment locally. If you want to get involved with the grassroots community to Stand and Fight for the Second Amendment, we want to meet you!
